Obituary
WHITLOW, P. Earl, 85, of Mechanicsville, passed away February 23, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sadie T. and Joseph I. Whitlow. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Bettie Whitlow; one daughter, Earleen Whitlow; and his aunt, Blanche Matthews. Mr. Whitlow was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran and served in Germany in the 113th Cavalry where he received a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. A member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 26. A funeral service will be held 12 noon Wednesday, February 27, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 3006 E. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23223. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Trustee Building Fund at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
