GARRETT, Carolyn H., born May 12, 1947, of Richmond, passed away September 3, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Freddie and Myrtle Hazelwood. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald A. Garrett Sr.; son, Donald Garrett Jr. (Trisha); daughter, Angela Williams; grandchildren, Justin, Matthew, Hannah, Arianna and Asia; brother, Johnny B. Hazelwood (Beth); and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, where a celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m.
