Michael, whose gravestone only has the initials M. H., was the son of immigrant parents, Michael and Catharine (House) Rusie (natives of Germany). He had been an invalid for final ten years of his life. He died of asthma, complicated by neuralgic pains. Last rites at his grave site were conducted by the Mooresville Lodge of F. & A. Masons, of which he was one of the oldest members. 34
