Misc. Notes
“Did I tell you that John & Martha Martin Hicks lived in a house behind Liberty Baptist Church. At the time of their deaths they were living with Henry Clay & Dru Hicks Taylor because he was blind & she was very weak. I assume it was their original house because my Granny, Druscilla Hicks Lassiter told me that her grandparents lived back there and the Martins lived across the road (Rt 60). She was baptized in diascund Creek beside the church. R. Benjamin Hicks' land was bordered by Diascund Creek at that point. It was also the land that was formerly owned by Richard Hicks. William Filbates and Mary Hicks were married at the Richard Hicks house.”
