"Ada"

SAXBY, Ida "Ada" Mary Pardini, age 90, of Richmond, Va., widow of Morgan Fravel Saxby, a retired SunTrust employee, and a longtime member of Giuseppe Verdi Italian Lodge, passed away July 6, 2011. She was predeceased by her parents, Carlo and Erina Pardini. Ida is survived by her daughter, Ann Maria Sayles; son, Morgan Fravel Saxby Jr. and his wife, Vicki J. Saxby; son, Stephen Paul Saxby, Ph.D. and his wife, Paula B. Saxby, Ph.D.; four grandchildren, James W. Sayles, Bryant S. Glenn and his wife, Rebecca G. Glenn, Morgan P. Saxby and his wife, Heather S. Saxby, and Lindsey E. Saxby; four great-grandchildren, James W. Phelps and his wife, Kayda C. Phelps, Chad A. Glenn, Kayla E. Glenn and Jaiden A. Moore; niece, Marsha S. Williams and her husband, Benjamin I. Williams; longtime caregiver, Patricia L. Carneal; her beloved dogs and companions, Buddy and Oscar. Ida loved her family, friends and dogs very much. Her beautiful yard of flowers was her passion. She will be deeply missed by all. The family wishes to thank VCU House Calls (Dr. Rachael Selby-Penczak and Ruth Wiese, RNC, FNP), Visiting Angels (all of her caregivers), and AsceraCare Hospice (especially Cindy Bellanger, RN, Phyllis Rose, RN, Suzanne Ditts, MV, Betty Cook, CNA, and Father John Ayers). The family will receive friends at the Bliley Funeral Homes - Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Road, Friday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, 10 a.m. at St. Bridget's Catholic Church. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Bridget's Roman Catholic Church or a charity of your choice.
