POMFREY, Fan Eaton Voegeli, 92, of New Kent, Virginia, died Saturday, March 23, 2013. She was born June 1, 1921 in Jackson, Tenn. She was the oldest living member of Corinth Baptist Church. Fan was preceded in death by her husband, Russell A. Pomfrey; her parents, Victor J. and Fannie Irene Voegeli; brothers Victor, Arch and Jacque Voegeli; and sisters, Gertrude Talor and Merry Ella Conder. Fan is survived by her brothers, William Voegeli (Dorothy Anne) of Madison, Ga., Thomas Voegeli (Hope) of Jackson, Tenn. and Jere Voegeli of Memphis Tenn.; a brother-in-law, Temple Pomfrey of New Kent, Va., and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her caregivers who took such good care of her over the years, Tricia, Brenda, Darlene, Danielle, Lois, Laura, Nancy, Angie, Frances and Marilyn. The family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 25 at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, Va. 23140. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 26 at Corinth Baptist Church, 11650 New Kent Highway, New Kent, Va. 23124. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
