Obituary
MARTIN, Erma Kathleen "Kitty," 89, of Mechanicsville, formerly of Mattaponi, Va., passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Walton; stepfather, Bentley Walton; father, Ernest Miles Martin; brothers, Melvin Martin and Elmo Martin. She is survived by her nephew, John Christian Hoffman; his wife, Toni; and daughter, Ellianna; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Mize. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 28, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Road, where a funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, December 28, at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
