JACKSON, Doris Pomfrey, 81, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 3, 2008. She was the widow of Walter M. Jackson, and is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Jim Bass, Ann Marie and Butch Clarke, Bonnie and Steve Hauser; grandchildren, Brooke Sadler and Jackson Clarke; and sisters, Jane Anderson, Vernelle Grady, and Nancy Coggsdale. The family will receive friends from 1 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10). Her funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 1132, Fairfax, Va. 22038-1132; or Bon Secours Hospice, 8580 Megellan Pkwy., Richmond, Va. 23227.
