WHITLOW, Olive Tunstall, 96, of Richmond, passed away on July 11, 2009. She was born in Richmond on April 25, 1913, to the late Richard Evans and Anna Alexander Tunstall. Olive graduated from the John Marshall High School, where she had met her sweetheart and future husband, Leo O. Whitlow. She was a devoted homemaker and mother, who worked part-time in real estate, including for her husband at Leo O. Whitlow Real Estate. Olive enjoyed sports, as a fan of the Washington Redskins, a regular attendee of Calvary United Methodist softball, and through her enjoyment of local Thoroughbred Horse Racing. She was a past president of the Powhatan Hill Women's Club, attended the Virginia Boat Club, and was an active member of the local Friday Night Social Club. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leo O. Whitlow, in 1992. Survivors include her son, Leo O. "Buddy" Whitlow Jr. and wife, Kathie; two brothers, Robert M. Tunstall and wife, Janet, and Richard E. Tunstall; three grandchildren, Kathleen A. Whitlow, Andrew C. Whitlow, and Jacob T. Whitlow. Visitation will be Monday, July 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Masonic Home of Virginia and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Laburnum Chapel, where funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, 1637 Williamsburg Rd., Richmond, Va. 23231.
