Frances Mann Walls, 80, widow of Horace E. Walls, died Friday, November 28, 2003. Born in Holland Springs, Va., she had been a longtime Hampton resident and member of the Rebekahs. Mrs. Walls is survived by her daughter, Ann Walls Sampson Smith and husband, Norm of York County; three sisters, Sarah Jordan, Caroline Smith and Lillian Mann; one brother, William Mann; grandchildren, Kimberly A. Small and husband, Robert W. Small, and Jeffery R. Sampson; and great-grandchildren, Jordan and Ryan Small. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 30, 2003 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home with interment to follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may made in her name to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Va. 23058.

Hampton Horace Everette Walls, 79, died Wednesday, June 7, 1995. He was a native of Lanexa and retired from the main machine shop in 1978 after 38 years with Newport News Shipbuilding.
He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Lanexa, and a graduate of New Kent High School. He was preceded in death by his father, John Fleming Walls; his mother Nannie Blanche Walls; and sister Alma W. Thompson.
He is survived by his wife, Frances M. Walls; his daughter, Antoinette :Ann" W, Sampson of Hampton; a brother, John A. Walls of Williamsburg; three sisters, Inez W. Walker of Barhamsville, Parish W. Mann of Lanexa and Elsie W. Timberlake of Lanexa; two grandchildren, Kimberly A. Small andJeffery R. Sampson, both of Hampton; and a great-granddaughter, Jordan C. Small of Hampton.
There will be a funeral service at Lawrence B. WoodFuneral Home on Saturday, June 10, at 1 p.m. with burial following in Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton. The family will receive friends at Lawrence B. Wood funeral home from 7 to 8:00 p.m. this evening.
