Obituary
The remains of Mechanic Joseph Raymond Hicks of 316 Louisiana Street, Richmond, Va., who as killed in action somewhere in France, October 11, 1918, arrived in Richmond Friday evening at 6:25 o'clock.
Mechanic Hicks was a member of Company B, One Hundred and Sixteenth Infantry, formerly the Richmond Grays, and spent one year on the Mexican border before going to France.
He is survived by his father Robert B. Hicks; his stepmother, Blanche B. Hicks; two sisters, Mrs Dora Edna Wyatt, Mrs. Elizabeth Redford, and two brothers, Robert L. and Floyd L. Hicks.
The funeral will be conducted from Fulton Baptist Church Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Burial in Oakwood.
