Alma Edwards Ellyson, 94, of Quinton, died October 4, 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband, Granville Ellyson and is survived by three children, Gerald G. Ellyson and wife, Patricia, Carroll Kent Ellyson and wife, Gwendolyn, and Sandra F. White and husband, Chuck; six grandchildren, Leslie, Suzanne, Robert, Audra, Christina and Jeffery; sister, Ruth Haggard; brother, Douglas Edwards and wife, Thelma; and a special niece, Kathleen Schultz (Norwood). The family will receive friends at Providence United Methodist Church on Wednesday, October 6 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the church on Thursday, October 7 at 11 a.m. with interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Providence United Methodist Church Building Fund, Box 118, Quinton, Va. 23141 or to the Quinton Volunteer Fire and EMS, Box 172, Quinton, Va. 23141.

ELLYSON
Granville Richard Ellyson, 93, of Quinton, died April 10, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Alma; his three children, Gerald G. Ellyson and his wife, Patricia and Carroll Kent Ellyson and his wife, Gwendolyn, all of Quinton and Sandra White and her husband, Chuck of Columbus, Ga.; two brothers, Terrell and George Ellyson; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 South Laburnum Ave. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Providence United Methodist Church, Quinton, with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
