LANEXA - Eddie Bert Martin, 83, of Lanexa passed away June 6, 2014. He was a retired superintendent in the maintenance department of William & Mary College, and an avid fisherman and member of the Happy Hollow Hunt Club. He was preceded in death by his son, Bruce Martin, and a brother, Julian Martin (Norma). Eddie Bert is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Barbara; daughters, Sharon Willis (Michael) and Micheala Hawkins; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ray Martin (Ann). The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Monday, June 9th at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA 23140 with the memorial service beginning at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bon Secours Hospice, 3636 High Street, Portsmouth, VA 23707.Tributes may be posted at www.vincentfh.com.
