Mrs. India C. Bowery, age 72. of Rt. 2, Box
467, Quinton, died September 20, 1984. She
is survived by a son, W.S. Bowery, Sr.; two
half sisters, Mary Topping, of Mauldin MO.
and Livie Carter, of Richmond; one
brother, Sam C. Carter, of Sandy Hook,
Va.; and three grandchildren; two step-
daughters, Mattie Clarke, Anna Oliver,
both of Richmond; one step-son, Wilbur
Bowery, of Glen Burnie, MD. Remains rest
at Nelsen Funeral Home, 1603 Wil-
liamsburg Rd. Funeral services will be
held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, at Emma's
Baptist Church. Interment church ceme-
tery.”
