Obituary
CRUMP, Charles H., 86, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord on September 4, 2010. He was the son of the late Hammond F. and Lynda Pomfrey Crump, and was preceded in death by his wives, Madeline G. Crump and Katherine S. Crump, and his brother, Paul W. Crump. He is survived by his son, Thomas F. Crump and wife, Paige, and grandchildren, Drew and Mitch Crump. He was a longtime member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church and New Kent Chapel. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 7 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Road, Mechanicsville. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 8 at 1:30 p.m. at Shady Grove UMC, 8209 Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to New Kent Chapel Memorial Association, c/o Cathy Hart, Box 404, Providence Forge, Va. 23140.

CRUMP, Katherine Scarborough, 80, of Mechanicsville, passed away January 28, 2008. She is survived by her husband, Charles H. Crump; a stepson, Thomas Crump and his wife, Paige; their sons, Drew and Mitch; and three sisters, Viola S. Rebick, Sarah S. Harvell and Loretta S. Prestridge. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Shady Grove United Methodist Church, Mechanicsville. Interment private.
