LANEXA - James Frederick Hockaday, 59, of Lanexa died Friday, March 15, 2002, at his residence. He was a lifelong member of Liberty Baptist Church in Lanexa, a loving husband, a loving father and a dear friend to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his son, James F. Hockaday Jr. James is survived by his wife, Katherine Hockaday; a son, Keith Hockaday; a brother, Woodrow C. Hockaday; a sister-in-law, Patsy Arrington; two nieces, Cheryl Hall and Christie Davis; two nephews, Bubba Hockaday and Johnny Hockaday; and two lifelong family friends, Gladys Allen and Gayle Tyssen. There will be a funeral service 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Liberty Baptist Church in Lanexa, Va. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at The Vincent Funeral Home in West Point, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Liberty Baptist Church Youth Dept., 15810 Liberty Ch. Rd., Lanexa, VA 23089.
