WILLIAMSBURG - Robert N. Walls III, 57, lost his battle with ALS on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007. Robert was a native of Barhamsville, Va., and a graduate of James Blair High School. Following high school, he served his country in the U.S. Army for over 20 years in Germany, Korea, and several locations in the United States. After retiring from the military, he became involved with golf course maintenance, working at several well-known courses in North Carolina and Virginia. Robert was the son of the late Robert Walls Jr. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Hove Moody and her husband, Jack Moody, of Virginia Beach, Va.; two daughters, Amanda Quesenberry and her husband, Daniel Quesenberry, of Chester, Va., and Holly Walls of Sterling, Va.; one son, Robert N. Walls IV of Williamsburg; and two grandsons. The family would like to extend special thanks to the outstanding staff of Morningside of Williamsburg and Heartland Hospice for providing Robert the chance to endure this battle with dignity and respect. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Barhamsville, Va. The family will receive family and friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The ALS Association, Tabernacle Methodist Church, Barhamsville, Va., or a charity of your choice.
