Obituary
ELLYSON, Terrell L., 92, of Quinton, passed peacefully on Saturday, June 6, 2009. He was preceded in death by his father, George Washington Ellyson; his mother, Hattie Wade Ellyson; his wife, Eleanor C. Ellyson; his brothers, William, Granville and George Ellyson; his sisters, Carrie Edwards and Cleo Rudolph; his nephew, George Allen Ellyson; and niece, Audrey White. He is survived by his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth M. Ellyson and Ellen C. Allen; his three nephews, Richard S. Ellyson and wife, Sue, Gerald G. Ellyson and wife, Pat, C. Kent Ellyson and wife, Gwen; two nieces, Mary Ellen Thompson and husband, Charles, Sandra White and husband, Charles; and many loving great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. Terrell was a retired farmer and auto mechanic. He was one of the oldest living members of Providence United Methodist Church, a member of the VFW, and the Farm Bureau of Hanover. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, with service in the African, Middle Eastern and European Theatres. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Providence United Methodist Church, 4001 New Kent Hwy., Quinton, where interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence United Methodist Church.
