WHITLOW, W. Eugene, 82, a resident of The Virginia Home, died September 22, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, George C. Whitlow and Frances S. Whitlow. He is survived by his first cousins, Elizabeth S. Goodbody, James D. Smith Jr., Harry Paul Stough III, Cheryl S. Morris, Gloria W. Gander, Sandra W. Freese and Julious P. Smith Jr. He is also survived by his many friends at The Virginia Home where he resided for the last 20 years. Gene will be remembered for his smiling face, indomitable spirit and innate toughness that let him face life's challenges with a good word and a positive outlook. Thanks to the staff at The Virginia Home for their wonderful care of Gene all these years. A memorial service will be held at The Virginia Home on October 5, 2010 at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
