Freddie Harold, "Pop ," Hazelwood 83, of Mechanicsville, joined hands with his wife of 55 years, Myrtle Wishon Hazelwood, on Saturday, February 6, 2010, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by a daughter, Carolyn H. Garrett and her husband, Donald; a son, Johnny B. Hazelwood and his wife, Elizabeth; four grandchildren, Donald Garrett Jr., Angela Williams, April Masini and her husband, Mark, and J. Zachary Hazelwood; and three great-grandchildren, Justin, Matthew, and Hannah Williams.

He worked for 39 years as a machinist at American Tobacco Company.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Road, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m.

Interment will be in Signal Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to East Hanover Volunteer Rescue Squad or Heartland Hospice.
