JAMES CITY COUNTY - Arthur Arlington Martin, 94, a lifetime resident of James City County, was called to his Heavenly Home Saturday, April 2, 2005. He was a veteran of
World War II where he served in Europe. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Drewry Martin. He is survived by two daughters, Mildred Elvira Temple and her husband, Thomas, and Marjorie Ann Watkins and her husband, Eddie; eight grandchildren, Cindy, Heather, Billy, Tommy, Eddie, Kevin, Keith and Matthew; one sister, Bessie Apperson; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Liberty Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at The Vincent Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Support of Williamsburg, 4445 Powhatan Parkway, Williamsburg VA 23188, or to James City Bruton Volunteer Rescue Squad.
