BAILEY Barbara L. Bailey, 68, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Billy J. Bailey; sons, William and Gary Bailey; brother, Leon Livesay; grandchildren, Jerry W., Johnathan L. and James N. Brown, Hunter Bailey; great-grandchildren, Sara and Jessica Brown. The family will receive friends Thursday, 7 to 9 p.m. at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10). Graveside service will be held Friday, September 14, 2001 at 11 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Va. 23058. Richmond Times Dispatch
Obituary
Charlotte-Mr. William Justus Bailey, 83, faithful and loving husband and father, passed into God's hands on Friday, March 7, 2014.
Son of the late William J. Bailey Sr. and Ann Hammond Bailey, Bill's life was centered in his family, his church where he sang in the chancel choir, and his work for Delta Airlines. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force and he loved music, painting, and woodcarving. He had a special love for animals.
He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Juanita Whitesell Bailey; sons Bruce and Paul Stuart Bailey, daughter Rebecca Nan and her husband Ray Dooley; brother Robert Stuart Bailey and his wife Billie Clark Bailey; sister-in-law Martha Brock; nephews Worth Brock and Ralph Whitesell, and nieces Kathy Starnes (Johnny) and Mary Turner (David); and two first cousins, Jack Hammond (Ava) and Dick Hammond (Jean).
Everyone who knew Bill was impressed with his kindness, goodness, and sweet nature. We thank God for his life on earth.
A family service was held on March 14; a dedication at church will be announced later.
