William H. Jr. "Junior" and "Sweet-Pea," Burkham 84, of Sandston, born June 8, 1923, went to be with his heavenly Father May 25, 2008.

He is survived by his devoted caregiver and friend, Debbie Lisbon and her husband, Jerry, of Sandston, Va.; and a number of nieces and nephews. In Junior's eyes, Debbie was his daughter.

Debbie will receive friends and family Thursday, May 29, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23150, and where services will be held Friday, May 30, 2008 at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow Friday afternoon, 3 p.m., at the Amelia Veterans Cemetery, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia, Va. 23002. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in Mr. Burkman's memory, may be made to the Massey Cancer Center, Post Office Box 980037, Richmond, Va. 23298-0037
