Thelma Lucille Parsley Crump, passed away October 19 at Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville, Va.

She was born March 30, 1927 to Viola and Eddie Harden, who preceded her in death, along with her brother, Lawrence Harden, and her daughter, LaNette Boyd.

Lucille is survived by her husband of 48 years, Charles N. Crump of Laurel Springs; her sons, Rev. G. Wayne Parsley of Parksley, Va., and Eddie Parsley (Ruth Ellen) of West Point; son-in-law, James M. Boyd of Richmond. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tammy Boyd of Aylett, James W. Boyd of Saluda, Bruce Parsley of West Point, and Shawn (Sarah) Parsley of Topping.

Lucy was a member of Pamunkey United Methodist Church and New Kent Chapel Memorial Association.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, Va., with Rev. Tom Tipton officiating. Burial will follow in New Kent Chapel. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m., also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Forge Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department, P.O. LANEXA- Charles N. Crump, 95, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016. He was a lifelong resident of New Kent Co. and spent his entire life taking care of the family farm. Charlie worked for C&O Railroad for 41 years and was also a WWII veteran. He dearly loved trapping and gardening, and was a faithful member of New Kent Chapel and Pamunkey United Methodist Church.
Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille P. Crump; and step-daughter, LaNette Boyd. He is survived by two step-sons, Rev. Gary W. Parsley, and Edward B. Parsley (Ruth Ellen); one granddaughter, Tammy Boyd; two grandsons, Bruce N. Parsley (Erin Willis) and Shawn E. Parsley (Sarah); two great-grandchildren, Nico and Addy; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 15th, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 16th, at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home, with burial following in New Kent Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either New Kent Chapel or Pamunkey United Methodist Church.
