Obituary
CONCORD -- Mrs. Higgins, 76, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, at CMC-NorthEast Medical Center. She was born in Richmond, Virginia to the late William S. and Gaynelle W. Wright. Mrs. Higgins was a resident of Charlotte for 14 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Marvin L. Higgins Jr., and her half-brother, William S. Wright Jr.
Mrs. Higgins is survived by her son, Marvin Lee Higgins III and wife Patricia of Papillion, Nebraska; her sister, Sandra W. Long and brother-in-law Dr. Thomas T. Long III of Concord; her half-sister, Deborrah W. Mahone and husband John of Richmond; as well as her granddaughters, Lindsay Anderson and husband Joe, and Jordan Higgins, all of Papillion.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the NorthEast Foundation, CMC-NorthEast, 920 Church Street, Concord, North Carolina, 28025.
