Obituary
HAYNES, Louis Edward "Herman", 86, of Charles City County, passed away July 15, 2016. He served in the United States Army 180th infantry during the Korean War, where he earned a Purple Heart. Louis was a retired pipefitter for the City of Richmond, and a member of Willis United Methodist Church. He enjoyed being a member of the Glendale Ruritan Club, cherished time with his grandchildren, and his enthusiasm for life meant he never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, May Haynes. He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Stewart (Julian), Christine Mahone (Charlie), and Jennifer Richardson (Doug); grandchildren, Amanda (Ernie), Bobby (Jocelyn), Josh, Scott (Savannah), Casey, and Taylor; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Autumn, Hayes, and Raif; great-great grandchild, Amory; and devoted companion, Fritz. Visitation will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home Laburnum on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm and services will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 11 am with interment to follow at Washington Memorial Park.
