HOCKADAY, Mr. Woodrow C. "Woody," 74, of Lanexa, Va., passed away June 28, 2015. He loved being outdoors connecting to nature, whether he was hunting, fishing or working in his garden. Woody was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 37 years, Patricia Lee Hockaday. He leaves behind to cherish his memory three children, Cheryl Hall of West Point, Bubba (Cindy) Hockaday of Williamsburg and Christie (Jeff) Davis of Barhamsville; six grandchildren, Tiffany, Blair, Gregory, Jeffrey, Stephen and Lee; four great-grandchildren, Kylee, Austin, Briana and Gabby; and a nephew, Johnny Hockaday. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2, in Liberty Baptist Church, 15810 Liberty Road, Lanexa, Va. 23089. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, Va. 23140.
