BOWERY, Cecil F., 79, of Quinton, Va., a retired City of Richmond Fire Fighter for 38 years, passed away on November 15, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne Bowery "Bonnie"; two daughters, Susan B. Sexton (Bill) and Melissa B. Pitts; three grandchildren, Heather Sexton, Katlyn Pitts and Joshua Pitts. He is also survived by a sister, Phyllis B. Butler; two brothers, Raymond A. Bowery (Jane) and Leon B. Bowery (Gerry). Cecil loved his church and his family and will be dearly missed. The family will receive friends and family tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. at Providence United Methodist Church in Quinton, Va. A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, also at the church, with the burial following in the church cemetery.
