LEMUEL BOWERY Lemuel Bowery. 77, supervisor for the Southern Materials Corp., died last night in his home, o02 Walnut Ave., Colonial Heights, after an illness of several months. Mr. Bowery was born in New Kent County, a son of the late Lemuel and Ida Bailey Bowery, and had spent most of his life in this vicinity. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Katie D. Bowery; daughter, Mrs. Edna B. Brockwell; step-daughter, Miss Katherine Burton and step-son. Ilarwood R. Burton, all of Colonial Heights; sister, Mrs. Milton Davis of Quinton. and four brothers: John Bowery and James Bowery, of Colonial Heights, and Joseph Bowery and Herbert Bowery, of New Kent County; and one grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock in the chapel of J. T. Morriss Son. The Rev. Eldridge H. Taylor, rector of St. John's Episcopal Church and the Rev. Clayton E. Crigger, rector of St. Michael's Episcopal Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Bland Cord Cemetery.
