Virgie Irene Hopcroft Brown, 87, of Roanoke, passed away Monday, April 16, 2012. Surviving family includes sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin and Dottie Brown and Joe and Mary Brown; daughter and fiance, Erma Brogan and Robert Rosier; sisters, Nellie Christian, Annie Payne and Fran Whorley; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Lotz Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton with the Rev. Mark Washington officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank the staff at Emeritus for their care of Mrs. Brown. Arrangements by Lotz Funeral Home, Vinton.
