Charles “Ed” Hazelwood, 51, of Lanexa, VA passed away Tuesday May 29, 2018. He was a faithful husband, loving son, caring brother and was devoted to his family. Ed was the calming force that held his family together. He was also a loyal friend, dropping anything to go lend a helping hand. Ed’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking and wood working. He seriously had a palm tree addiction. Ed loved the Outer Banks and his family beach house. His favorite place to eat with his family was the Kill Devil Grill. If you had the opportunity to be with Ed in the OBX, you could count on having Blackened Tuna and Beer Can Shrimp. Ed enjoyed life, family members and many friends. In turn, all those who knew Ed, loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles L. Hazelwood.
