Margaret (Schreiner) House, wife of John House II, emigrated from Baden, Germany to America. On the voyage, John died and was buried at sea. Margaret settled with her family in Baltimore, Maryland, where they stayed 3 years. They moved to Pennsylvania, then to Virginia and finally to Mooresville in 1839. Her daughter, Rebecca House Butner is buried near her.
