Josie Ann Gough, 88, of Gainesville, Virginia, formerly of Front Royal, VA, died on Monday, February 3, 2014 at her home.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7, at 1:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Dr. Charles Stewart. Burial will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Gough was born April 1, 1925, daughter of the late Grace Cain Dawson and Hayward Dawson.

She chose the nursing profession as her life's work and she retired from Prince William Hospital in Manassas, VA. She was a longstanding member of the Haymarket Baptist Church.

Mrs. Gough was the wife of the late Stewart S. Gough.

Surviving are her two sons John and his wife Jana and Douglas and wife Diane all of Gainesville; two sisters Lucy and Becky both of Front Royal; one brother Vernie Dawson of Summerduck; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and family friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday one hour prior to the service.
