Born south of town in 1829, and at an early age he was orphaned.
Son of Joseph & Mary Jackson Moon.
Married Mary C. Rooker on April 13, 1865.
William operated a mill on White Lick which bears his family name.
Survived By: Wife; daughter, Mrs. Alvin (Bertha) Munson; half brother, John Moon, of Clayton (who is the only living relative from his father's family.)
Cause of Death: Paralytic Stroke - after an extended illness.
