Dr. Lewis Armstrong was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Richmond where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity and served on the honor council.
He graduated from the Medical College of Virginia Dental School in 1978 and joined his father's practice in Culpeper. When Dr. Thomas Armstrong retired, Dr. Lewis continued with the practice until his death.
Dr. Lewis Armstrong was an active member and Elder of the Culpeper Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Rotary Club of Culpeper for 18 years and was named a Paul Harris Fellow. He also served on the board of Second Bank & Trust for many years and he was past chairman of the Culpeper
