Obituary
Vivian Arnet Sheets died August 7 in the care of Edgewood Vista and Hospice of the Red River Valley. She was born to Idane (Young) Brady and Charles Edgar Brady March 11, 1926, at rural Vashti, ND. She grew up and attended school in the Pingree area and graduated from Pingree High School. Following graduation, she attended Valley City State Teachers College and then taught elementary school in the Pingree area.
She married Lyle Krogh December 19, 1946, and they operated the E.P. Krogh general store in Pingree and worked on the Krogh farm and ranch. They had one son, Elwyn. Lyle died unexpectedly in 1954 and Vivian moved to Sioux City Iowa to stay with her sister Elida, and her family. In Sioux City she attended the National Business College and completed her studies in 1956. She moved to Jamestown, ND where she was employed at the Stutsman County Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS).
She married Glenn Sheets July 9, 1960 and they lived in Carrington. They had one son, Brent. She worked at the Foster County ASCS office and was named manager in 1984.
After their retirement Glenn and Vivian spend several winters in Maryland to be closer to Brent and his family. They later moved to Fargo to be closer to Elwyn and his family.
She is survived by one son Brent (Janet) Sheets and their sons Garret and Andrew, granddaughter Rachel (Michael) Weber and their children Andrew and Madelyn, grandson Eric (Liz) Krogh, daughter in-law Diane Krogh, one brother Lowell Brady, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by son Elwyn Krogh, her first husband Lyle Krogh, her second husband Glenn Sheets, sisters, Elida Cadieaux and Luella Hopewell, brothers Elden Brady, Larry Brady and Gerald Brady.
