Obituary
Patricia Sager–Dean, 66, of Stafford County died peacefully at home on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016. Pat was born on Oct. 15, 1949, in Washington, D.C. to the late John and Elva Gard, of Arlington.Pat spent many years supporting her family and was highly respected within the Defense Intelligence Security business around the world. The achievement of which she was most proud was graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Mary Washington with a bachelor's degree at the age of 63. Pat's greatest joys in life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pat is survived by daughters Gwen Dooley (Mark), Michelle Henry (Josh) and Samantha Lyon (Alex); four granddaughters, Brittany and Rachel Dooley, and Olivia and Carter Lyon; two grandsons, Braeden and Tanner Henry; two great-granddaughters; her sister, Julia Gard–Zuzick; her beloved mother-in-law, Marie Dean; and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Pat was preceded in death by her best friend and husband, Christopher Dean, as well as by her sisters, Nancy Custis and Marallyn Beatty.Pat will be missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 161 Embrey Mill Road, Stafford. A reception will follow after the service.
