ELSIE GLADYS HOUSE, age 88 a lifelong resident of Nokesville, Virginia passed peacefully on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at her home.
Mrs. House was born November 14, 1921 in Nokesville,Virginia, daughter of the late Mason Edward and Viola (Schaffer) Gough. She was a member of Warrenton Presbyterian Church, and a bus driver for Prince William County Schools for 27 years. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, John Royall House in 1996; one great granddaughter, Kylie P. Warnecki and one sister, Lucille M. Warner.
Survivors include four sons, Wade C. House, of Nokesville, Thomas R. House, of Calverton, Neal S. House of Knoxville, Tennessee and Robert L. House, of Nokesville; five daughters, Elaine Herring of Apopka, Florida, Janice H. Spears and Elizabeth M. House both of Nokesville, Marion W. Griffith of Catlett, and Connie J. Fuda of Clinton, Washington; two brothers, Stewart Gough of Gainesville and Mason E. Gough, Jr. of Triangle; four sisters, Dorothy V. Crummitt of New Bern, North Carolina, Thelma E. Hartley, Senia A. Merchant, both of Manassas and Ruth D. Daffan of Nokesville; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 P.M. Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas where funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 12, 2010 with Rev. Richard Winters officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.
