Samuel H. Watson, 43, of Powhatan, died April 7, 2006. Survivors include his wife, Emilie Hancock Watson; two children, Abigail and Samuel Watson Jr.; his parents, David L. Watson Sr. and Marie House Watson; sister, Martha Watson Payne and her husband, James M. Payne; brother, David L. Watson II and his wife, Laura Watson; sister, Linda Watson Hills and her husband, Martyn Hills; and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Mr. Watson was born in Herndon, Virginia and was a graduate of Woodward Academy in College Park, Georgia and Berry College in Rome, Georgia. He was president of Watson Machine Corporation. Samuel was a gifted practical engineer and compassionate friend to many. Most importantly, he was a faithful husband and father. His remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sycamore Presbyterian Church. Interment Manakin Episcopal Church.
