Obituary
JAMES BUCKNER PRICE, International Trade Specialist with the Department of Commerce for thirty-three years, died May 4, 2009 at Westminster at Lake Ridge, Virginia. During World War II, Mr. Price served as 1st Lieutenant with the 509th Composite Group of the United States Air Force. Mr. Price was a Past Patron of Trinity Chapter #33, Order of the Eastern Star, a member of Singleton-Hope-Lebanon Masonic Lodge #7 and the Almas temple of the Shrine. His fraternal affiliations included Sigma Chi and Sigma Upsilon. He graduated from Central High School and from Hampden-Sydney College (class of 1937). He also received Master's degrees from George Washington University and The American University. From 1956 to 1989, he sold and conducted group tours to many parts of the world. Mr. Price and Ms. Monique Fuerst of Switzerland were married in St. John's Episcopal Church, Washington, DC on January 11, 1958. A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 7, 2009 in the chapel at Westminster at Lake Ridge. His ashes will be interred at Greenwich Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 15305 Vint Hill Road, Nokesville, Virginia 20181; the burial grounds for his mother's family (House) since 1822.
