The daughter of Charles and Minerva (Shrake) Rusie who married on Dec. 18, 1846. Charles was the son of immigrant parents, Michael and Catharine (House) Rusie (natives of Germany). He was a veteran of the Civil War: Co. C, 29th Ind. Infantry.

Charles and Minerva had nine children, three of whom preceded them in death. Their baby son, Thomas, is buried here as well.

Amanda's stone is not very legible. If you know more information or if I have the date of death incorrect, please notify me. All the library had on her was an article written in 1913 which indicated that she is buried here.
