Oris Joseph Davis, 80, of Canon City died Dec. 20, 1998 in Pueblo. He was born March 19, 1918, in Westcliffe, to Lee K. and Leana (O'Graske) Davis. Mr. Davis had retired from Safeway as a grover and was a resident of Canon City, except for the 31 years he had lived in California. On of his fondest memories was playing fullback on the Canon City High School football team. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. Mr. Davis is survived by numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his son, Oris Bud Davis, his parents, sisters: Mildred and Tillie, and brothers: Harley and Harry. Graveside services will be held at 1 pm Monday, Dec. 28, at Mountain Vale Memorial Gardens with Pastor Harold Baldwin officiating. Anyone wishing to view Mr. Davis may do so at the cemetery prior to graveside service.
