Ervin Rodney Vanfleet, 59, of Norman, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010 in Norman. He was born January 1, 1951 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Ervin Edward Vanfleet and Hazel House.Mr. Vanfleet was a veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1970 until 1974 as a communication technician. He married Connie Paysinger on October 31, 1970. He was employed with OG--E until his retirement in 2006.Preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Vanfleet is survived by his wife, Connie of the home; two daughters, Veronica Robbins and her husband Chris, Leslie Schuermann and her husband, Andrew; a sister, Retta Evanson; a brother, Jim Vanfleet and his wife, Marilyn; grandson, Dylan Robbins; granddaughters, Claire Schuermann and Kylee Robbins; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his "girls" Cookie and Callie.Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Primrose Chapel. Interment will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Laverne Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service.
