An obituary from an unidentified paper:

Mrs. Mary Ellen Hogan, age about 70 years, widow of the late James W. Hogan, died at the home of her daughter in Washington, D.C., on Monday night last. Mrs. Hogan before marriage was a Miss Kelley of Bluemont. Death was caused by acute indigestion.

Mrs. Hogan is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Nellie Woodward, Mrs. Margaret McCarthy, Miss Bessie Hogan and Miss Eva Hogan, all of Washington and one son, Mr. J. William Hogan of Oatlands.

Funeral services were held from the Church of Immaculate Conception at Leesburg today, Rev. J.F. Govaert officiating. Interment at Union Cemetery, Leesburg.
