Obituary
Culpeper Exponent, January 25, 1934

Benjamin Franklin Creel, aged 65 years, died at the home of his nephew, F.W. Woolfrey, near Clarkson, early Tuesday morning after a lingering illness. Mr. Creel was a resident of the Hudson Mill neighborhood, this county.

He is survived by one son, Lee Creel, of Hudson mill, three grandchildren, a brother, Isaiah Creel, of Culpeper, and a sister, Mrs. W.W. Kilby, of Brandy.

The services were conducted on Wednesday afternoon from the Geest Funeral Parlor by Mr. W. F. Taylor.

The active pallbearers were Raymond W. Creel, Fleetwood Woolfrey, Burrows O. Woolfrey, Hubert M. Creel, Henry Hudson and Arthur Jenkins.

The following hymns were rendered at the grave: "Sweet Bye and Bye," and "Shall We Gather at the River," under the leadership of Mrs. Susie Taylor Lloyd.

The interment was held in the family cemetery at the home of his brother, Isaiah Creel.
