Obituary
Junior B. Reed, (Col. Ret., USAF) served 33 years as an Air Force pilot. As a young officer at the end of WWII, he served as a flight instructor.
He later flew fighter jets, but for the most part, was flying the larger bombers, such as B-52's and B-47's. As a young officer, starting a family,
he also attended night classes for several years to earn his B.A. degree in business. In his later career, he was given the responsibility of Wing and
Squadron Commander. He also flew the U-2 reconnaissance jet. During the Vietnam war, he served a 1 year tour in flight mission from Thailand over the war zones. After a 33 year career, characterized by outstanding service and accomplishments, he retired as a full Colonel, here in Orlando, Florida, to be
near his 2 sons and their families.
