Ronnalee “Ron” House, age 75 of Bradenton, Florida and formerly of Elwood died Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Cookeville Regional Hospital in Cookeville, Tennessee. He was born March 5, 1939 in Elwood, the son of Clarence R. and Hazel J. (Harting) House. He was a Senior Engineer at Delco Remy Division of General Motors in Anderson for more than 34 years and retired in 1990. He was a 1958 graduate of Wendell L. Willkie High School and later attended G.M. Engineer Design School and Purdue University classes for General Motors. Ron married Linda Sue Stone on June 27, 1957.
He was an entrepreneur, owning his own business for 16 years which focused on design, and also held numerous electronic patents with General Motors. He was a member of the Central Christian Church in Anderson and formerly supported the Omega Christian Church in Atlanta. He was a 32nd Degree Mason at Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge in Anderson and held his Scottish Rite Degree. Ron and Linda enjoyed spending family time and boating at their home on Dale Hollow Lake, TN. More than anything he will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Ron’s family includes his wife of more than 57 years, Linda S. House of Bradenton, FL; 3 children, Christine (husband William) DeMumbrum of Fishers, Ronald Kirk (wife Diane) House of Tracy, CA, and Jennifer (husband Rick) Flowers of Columbus, GA; sister, Helen Brown of Cicero; sister-in-law, Joan (husband Thomas) Leathers of Elwood; 6 grandchildren, Joshua Carpenter, Curtis Carpenter, Benjamin Flowers, Jon (wife Amanda) House, Keri House, and Jacob DeMumbrum; great-granddaughter, Ellie House; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jane Ann Achenbach; and brother, Paul House.

A funeral service celebrating Ron’s life will be conducted at 11 AM on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Neal Brown of Omega Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 3 to 6 PM Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the funeral home and will include a masonic memorial service at 6 PM by members of the Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge.
