Obituary
William Rusie, Jr., 86, Mooresville, died October 1, 2009. Mr. Rusie was born December 1, 1922, in Mooresville, the son of William Rusie, Sr. and Naomi (Shane) Rusie.

Mr. Rusie was self employed for years and enjoyed working in the bakery at Meijer in Camby following his retirement for 14 years. He was a member of First Christian Church, Mooresville and attended The Church at Mt. Gilead and Mt. Pleasant Christian Church, Greenwood. Previously, he was a member and trustee at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. He was a longtime little league coach with Decatur Youth Athletic Association.

He proudly served in the United States Army as a paratrooper in World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jean (Winings) Rusie who died in 1990 and a brother, Max Rusie.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Free Rusie to whom he was united in marriage November 3, 1990; children, William A. Rusie (Deann) of Mooresville, Cindy Busse (Jack) of Indianapolis, Michael Free of Chicago, Illinois, Marc Free of Orlando, Florida, Monica Miller (Dean) of Camby, Marisa Ikerd of Fishers; grandchildren, Tobin and Amy Busse; Danielle and Mikayla Rusie; Laura and Brad Free; Nathan and Greg Free; Heather Fleming, Rhett, Thad, and Hilary Miller; Joshua, Caleb, Hannah, and Jacob Ikerd; great grandchildren, Van Stephen Eimers, Lucy Woll, Mary Free, and Evangeline Fleming.

Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Monday, October 5, 2009, in the Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, with calling there from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, October 4, 2009. Rev. Jeff Faull will officiate with burial following the service at West Newton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
