Obituary
Philip Winfree Fore, III, known as Win, died on August 17, 2017 in Harrisonburg. Born on May 20, 1955, he was the son of Philip Winfree Fore, Jr. and Harriet Green Scott of Culpeper. He was preceded in death by his father, his step-father, Meredith L. Scott, and his brother, James Green Fore. He is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Fore Keatinge of Pacific Palisades, California, and Catherine Fore Hoffman of Fort Defiance, Virginia; two nephews, David R. Hoffman of Williamsburg, Virginia, and Robert C. Hoffman of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and their children. He is also survived by his uncle and aunt, R. Duff and Mary M. Green of Orange, Virginia, who were his godparents, and his aunts Newt (Mrs. Angus) Green of Culpeper, and Lillian M. Green of Orange. In addition, he is survived by many first cousins. Win was a graduate of Christ Church School, Christ Church, Virginia and Lynchburg College. He was a service representative for Rental Uniform Service (now Cintas) in both Culpeper and Bedford, a sales associate at Grand Home Furnishings in Harrisonburg, and more recently was employed at Walmart in Harrisonburg. Graveside services will be on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Fairview Cemetery, with The Reverend Benson Shelton officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the RMH Foundation, 2010 Health Campus Drive, Harrisonburg, Virginia, 22801.
