This contained an order to the Sheriff of Henrico co. to summon Thomas Jordan, Rowland Hampton and Betsy his iwfe, Richard Adams, Henry Adams - Richard and Henry children of Sally Adams dec'd, one of the children of Thomas Jordan de'd, John Adams an infant under 21, William Jordan and Polly Jordan infants of Henry Jordan dec'd and John Hugglezy (another place had him Hugglery), Pleasant, edmund, Henry, Polly, and Sally Jordan infants of Thomas Jordan dec'd to appear in Henrico Court on 1st Monday in May to answer a bill in Chancery exhibited ags them by Elizabeth Whitler one of the hcildren and devisees of Thomas Jordan dec'd. 22 March 1802

Thomas of the second part...$50...sell...the following piece or parcel of land to wit: a certain lot of ground...lying and being in the County of Henrico, bounded on the north by the land of John Hudson, on the wast by Harry Jordan, on the west by the land of Mr. Laforest, deceased, and Cornelius Creek, and on the south by the road or path leading by Mr. Laforest brick house, and is the land intended to have been conveyed (or a portion of it) by sd. Elizabeth to the sd. John, and claimed by her as one of the heirs of her father Thomas Jordan who died intestate, and is the share that fell to her (or a part of it) when the estate of the sd. Thomas was divided afterwards by an order or decree of the County Court of Henrico; and this deed from sd. Elizabeth to sd. John of all her interest in her father's sd. estate is recorded in sd. John Pleasants as a Private of Infantry. Alexander Childers of Henrico Co., VA
on 4 March 1834 states that after Capt. John Pleasants resigned, Capt. William Mosby was in command. Elizabeth Whitlow, aged 80, in Henrico Co., VA on
13 March 1834 states that Henry Jordon was her brother and at his death he
left 3 children viz. William B. Jordon, Mary H. Jordon, and Elizabeth Jordon as
his legal heirs
